Another Long Weekend
Okay, Cynthia and Rodger came up for a long weekend and helped me with the house. They painted and fixed sheetrock and worked so hard...and it was a pleasure having them here...and make no mistake, we did take some time out to dye wool! Several of these are wool I bought on eBay and one is a skein of Lamb's Pride Bulky that Cyndy brought with her.
We did teal & royal blue...brown, moss green & brown...burgundy & rose & kelly green & black,... and finally black and violet on the Lamb's Pride.
I hope that they were as comfortable staying here as I was having them. It was so much fun to have someone to play in the fiber with me! Even Rodger thought the whole process was cool and that the wool came out great.

Yes, of course, we were comfortable! It truly felt like a get-away weekend -- we played much more than we worked. But it is driving me crazy keeping away from the pretty yarn until after finals on Friday! And then there's that striped top I am determined to finish before I start the KniTibet knitting. I'm stopping at Michael's soon for violet Wilton's!!
mmmmm...yummy....love that rose/burgundy/black?, brown and the mossgreen/brown?....
sounds like you all had fun *smile*
Those are gorgeous! Beautiful job! I'm going to get around and dye sometime this decade.
The yarns are so pretty! Rich, vivid colors. Looks like everyone had a great time.
How beautiful did that wool turn out-I love it. I have to just do it and dye already!
We did have fun and I so glad that Cyn has the yarn and can play with it...even if she has to wait until after finals to do so! LOL
The burgundy/rose/kelly green/black combo was a lot of fun. Cyn thought I was NUTS when I added the green, but it turned out well. hehehe
