I am so blessed

We waited in a gas line for what seemed like forever and then a transformer blew and they sent us all away before we could get any gas. Thank G-d Lisa has given us her 5 gallon container...because we needed it to get down to Cynthia's truck and then have everyone get safely back home. I was feeling very discouraged, until we came down the street and power was on at some of the house. Then we passed through a section with no power as we got closer to my house and when we came close, the lights came on. When I finally got into my house, the clock read 12:03...it honestly clicked back on right as we approached. The first thing I did was put two big pots of water on the stove to boil. I am so glad they were able to get power restored ahead of schedule, because it means that our linemen can start to head south to help people to the south of us.

I have almost no gas and there is very, very little to be found. People slept in their cars, hoping and praying that a truck would arrive to refuel the gas station. They keep promising us that it will get better. I sure hope so. At this point, the hospital is asking non-essential employees to take a personal day off from work to try to deal with the critical gas shortage here. It is crazy.
