The power is back on!
Woo hoo! We have electricity and the router is back up. It is very, very exciting.
I used my time to make a few wired bead things. After dealing with the greasy orifice hook that came with the borrowed Ashford Traditional Double Drive, I decided that I would get some 16 gauge covered copper wire and make a new one! These are the first two designs that I came up with and both of them work perfectly well on the wheel. At least this way I do not have to worry about getting grease spots on my wool. LOL

I meant to take a scan or a photo of Summer Sherbert, but I have not had the time or inclination today. I have been so busy at work, it is really sort of pitiful. LOL
Oh and once again, I am Itchy McScratchy Pants. I am battling yet another case or poison ivy or maybe a rebound of the first one.

Well, snail me your address and i will sent it to you. LOL
OK, I'll ask: what in the world is a "orifice hook" and what is it used for? --Lynn in southern NJ
Lynn, it is used to pull your leader yarn (or wool if it breaks at some point) through the orifice of your spinning wheel. :-)
And the next question is: what's an "orifice of your spinning wheel"? LOL
