Hot tea & videos

I drank about six cups of tea, most of them Peppermint Cold Remedy variety. I also watched Spinning and Weaving The Ashford Way and Spinning Wool - Basics & Beyond: Wheel, Fiber Preparation & Spinning Techniques. Both videos were borrowed from my guild. I also borrowed Paula Simmons' Spinning & Weaving with Wool. I have them checked-out from our library until the next meeting.

I did spin for a while on the Reeves, but the truth is, my left thumb hurts. LOL

I am feeling better...thanks to those of you who sent me well wishes.

Rissa! I hope you are feeling better soon! Why does your thumb hurt? Did you do something to it?

Am I the only person whose thumb hurts when she drafts for spinning? My left thumb aches when I spin too long. LOL

Hi Rissa,
My thumbs hurt too, but that's after a LOT of spinning -- and like all new things, you'll get used to it. It's really much worse when you have a papercut -- bandaids just don't let you draft so well......(makes me cringe to think about it....) How many out there have spun with a papercut on their twist fingers?
