Fat & Happy in Dallas
I just wanted to stop in to say that I am doing great and really enjoying myself in Dallas. Shay is the best possible hostess. She and her husband have made me feel very welcome as usual. Of course, she is going to need a vacation to recover from my being here for a week!
I have been taking great classes from Susan O'Connor from Country Bumpkin of Australia. Monday was a Stumpwork crabapple project and Tuesday was Madeira Embroidery. We shopped all day Saturday and again today. On Sunday we went to the Treehouse to visit with BarbE and the Texas CQ/tatting gang. Tomorrow we have a class in Broderie Anglaise. Shay and I signed up for it at the last minute, after seeing the class sample.
I have probably checked the clearance section in every Hobby Lobby in the DFW area, checked out the Half Price Book Stores, Bally Beads and Kay's Fabrics. Plus, Shay and Jim have plans to send me home with more goodies, so my car will be loaded down for sure. I know my husband and the dogs will be glad to see me again. I am very excited about stitching and can't wait to get home and start working in the studio.

Glad you are having such a wonderful time, though I still wish you were here with me. Heading to Taxco and the silver vendors on Saturday -- hope I find good quality and better deals! LOL
After all the hard and grinding work you've done on behalf of us all, dear Rissa, it's good to see that you are enjoying yourself and getting bargains at the craft bins. =o) Yeay!
What fun! Wish I could join you.
