A fabulous compendium of needlework information.  This volume covers Crewelwork, Whitework, Stumpwork, Turkeywork, Trapunto, Candlewicking, Appliqué, Patchwork and more. 

The potential for this stitch is just STAGGERING! This book really gives you ideas and inspiration.

This is another must have for anyone in love with the bullion stitch.

Boutis & Trapunto - Catherine Coget

Several practical projects that combine Boutis, Trapunto, and Pique Marseille. 

The Boutis Bible.  This is an amazing book with fabulous history and incredible photography as well as practical design application.

The photos of the Marseille quilts are reason enough alone to buy this coffee table quality book.  The images are stunning, the history is rich and the research painstaking. It was worth every penny.

Covers several Provencal quilt types, such as Boutis and a Vanne.  There are also some projects that we think of as American such as a Wedding Ring quilt and other pieced projects, that are done using Provencal fabrics and/or style.

A great little book with just enough history and technique. 

Ms. Shackelford has a unique method for doing Trapunto that spare the fabric.  It made perfect sense after reading her other appliqué books that she would come up with this practical method.  If you have any interest in different Trapunto styles, you must check out this book.

An oldie but a goodie.  Although some of the designs are quite dated, the history, the photos and the ideas are wonderful!

Mr. Flynn gives us his own take on Trapunto and Stippling and his method for stuffing without damaging the cloth.  Interestingly, this method is described in detail as the way antique quilts were often made in the Nicholl Boutis book.  If you have any interest in stippling, he has some wonderful suggestions for approaching stippling in a logical and ordered manner.

This is one of my favorite books ever.  I have always loved Hawaiian quilts which are made using this method. 

Some wonderful motifs for use with Shadow work.

One of my favorite and most read crewel books.  I bumped into the whole Deerfield concept while looking at some other information on the Arts and Crafts Movement.  This book is a wonderful historical guide and practical pattern book.

From the doll pincushion to the instructions for a ribbon Magnolia, this book demonstrates the absolute eternal beauty of ribbonwork!

One of the absolute best books on ribbon manipulation!

From the woman at Quilter's Fancy.  This is a great reference for making roses with the Vintage Rose Spindle.  

A wonderful resource!

Elegant indeed! There are some lovely designs and ideas in this book, with a lot of SRE and many designs easily adapted to SRE.

One of the best books in my collection. The designs are simply inspiring! She is a real grand master.

A fun books with some great ideas for SRE and ribbon manipulation. 
 

Some of these borders are just stunning.  Their application for clothing and Crazy Quilting is not to be missed.  I spent hours one night trying to decide which I liked best and still ended up with ten page markers and no final selection!

It covers a lot, including some Judaica.

This one was hard for me to find.  I bought a copy off eBay from a Canadian seller.  It was worth all the time and effort to find it!
